Detail shots.
An elf's house, in a forgotten forest.
It was a gift for a special person

As usual, cereal card, cardboard, balsa wood, wire, some rocks, dirt, dried leaves and acrylics.
I just need an elf now..

This is a very beautiful piece. I remember seeing this on Terragenisis a while back. I like the way those "soft rocks" sound. It sounds to me that if you wanted to replicate those properties, you would have to cast a few carefully diluted layers of lightweight hydrocal from Woodland Scenics.

The color scheme is unique and the shingles are very stunning. I really enjoy the crushed herb foliage. Very nice work!

So, you know Terragenesis! Great place :)
I suppose the rock could be replicated with hydrocal or plaster...I was lucky enough to find it as it is!
Anyway, thanks for your kind words!
And the folliage is pretty easy to make ;)

Well, yes...you know, cornflakes and stuff?
The box they put them into makes great roof tiles.
You have to cut it first though :D
