etheroscope -details- by ariscene etheroscope -details- by ariscene
"In the Underworld your skin feels numb, there is no sense of heat or pressure...Remember that sound is muffled as if you were immersed in water, and normal vision isn't of much help either....
With the etheroscope you can see the nether things,
and we have also incorporated a Morse-Radio unit to communicate with the expedition.
Wear it at all times.
But be warned: do not -for any reason- remove the breather unit. Inhaling Ether will stupefy you forever, and trap your mind in the realm of half-light...."

This is the Etheroscopion (Etheroscope), made out of standard goggles and junk, and painted with acrylics. I only need to attack a leather strap to it, so it can be normally worn.

Unpainted version: unpainted goggles

Another view: goggles up
Yet another: goggles down

That really is spectacular painting you have done. I have lots of ideas but cannot find the material with the aged patina I need to make it "right".
You can do it so well with paint. Bravo!!!

Thanks for the compliment!
I'd actually prefer working with naturally aging materials, but painting is easier for me :D

Is there any place that you know of where I could get tiny gears like that out of a watch... I need them for a piece

Nope...
I just happened to scavenge them out of old toys and clocks.
Check your basement/closet/garage :)

A good place to look would be RC cars and anything with servo motors.
