Hm...about this piece:
I had a circular tiled "plaza" made of foamcore sitting on my shelf for a couple of years, which I never used. So, I grabbed it, and in the spur of the moment, tore a big hole through it and started sticking stuff in it
It's probably one of my most expressionist pieces. I didn't plan anything or think while making it, and it helped channel quite a few annoying feelings (like a shrink, but free)....
The tubes and all the aggressive mechanical parts reminded me of Tetsuos transformations in Akira, so, I dedicated it to him since he is one of my favourite fictional characters
The whole thing is made of foamcore (cardboard and insulation material), plastic tubes, cables, plaster chunks and miscellaneous plastic junk.
And paint. Lots of it.
