"When we realized that the crawling invertebrates in Io's deeper mud pits had an iron-based internal support system, a kind of iron-oxide space lattice, our biochemists went amuck. The need for expensive ceramic and titanium-alloy based prosthetics would be over...

With a fully functional biological nervous system and digestive track, motorized mechanical parts plus double-shell high-density silica foam carapace, we had ourselves the perfect soldier. Small story I conjured up, after making the critter. It's supposed to be a living creature bound to a mechanical contraption, in order to be used a fearless/resilient/obedient soldier. Its supposed size is more or less like a cat. The size of the real-world sculpture is closer to that of a rat
I used water based acrylics to paint it and -as usual- it's made out of junk.
